A THORNTON travel agency has joined an international partnership so it can give local people an easy route to finding and buying their dream home aboard.
Marsh MIll Travel of Marsh Mill Village, has joined the International Partnership Programme (IPP) launched by leading overseas holiday accommodation specialist, The Apartments Abroad Travel Group.
The IPP gives prospective purchasers easy access to a huge range of new and re-sale properties in Spain, France, Portugal, Florida, the Bahamas, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Dominican Republic, Turkey, Cape Verde and Morocco.
It also gains access to specialist advice covering not just the purchase of a property as a holiday haunt, second home or for potential investment, but also issues where native expertise is vital such as the local lifestyle, amenities, education, tax and employment laws.
The partnership harnesses the in-depth knowledge Marsh Mill Travel's' experienced staff have of key destinations and resorts with a massive property portfolio that ranges from ?20,000 apartments by the sea or mountains in up-and-coming Bulgaria, to luxurious multi-million pound mansions in Marbella.
In addition it provides access to a range of advisory support services throughout and beyond the sales process, including arranging property inspections and free marketing any purchased home for rent on apartmentsabroad.com for 12 months.
Marsh Mill Travel's proprietor Julie Taylor said: "We know that many, many people are interested in buying property abroad but have been put off because they simply don't know where to start and may be nervous of dealing with foreign agents and laws."

Recent research shows Brits are increasingly looking to relocate or buy second homes overseas. Market research company Mintel has reported that 20 per cent of UK re-mortgages were for second homes and that increasingly these were purchased overseas.
